If you want your lash clusters to last longer, focus on the boring little details that actually make the biggest difference. Clean lashes. Good placement. A little overlap. A proper clamp. Keeping heavy oil away from the base. Nothing wildly glamorous, but it works.
Pink Rabbit pre glued segments are designed for about 2 to 5 days on their own. If you want longer wear, Bonded with our Double Bond Method is designed for 10+ days.
1. Start squeaky clean
Makeup, skincare, cleanser residue, and oil can all get between the adhesive and your natural lashes. Start with clean lashes and let them dry completely before you apply anything.
2. Keep heavy oils away from the base
You can still do your skincare. Just try not to coat the lash base in cleansing balm, facial oil, or a super rich eye cream if you are trying to get the longest wear possible.
3. Get close to the lash line, but stay off the waterline
You want the segment close enough to disappear into your lash line, but it should attach to your natural lashes, not the wet waterline or skin.
4. Make sure the whole base is actually attached
Do not judge it only from the front. Look underneath too. If one corner of the base is floating, that is probably the corner that will lift first.
5. Slightly overlap your segments
This little detail changes the entire finished set.
If you place every segment perfectly edge to edge, you can start seeing exactly where one piece ends and the next one begins. It makes the lash line look chopped up into little sections, and those tiny gaps are what make clusters look like clusters.
A small overlap helps the bases read as one continuous lash line. You stop seeing all those little divided pieces, and the set looks much closer to actual lash extensions.
You do not need to stack half the lash on top of the next one. Just a small overlap at the base is enough.
It also helps keep the bases lined up and leaves fewer exposed edges that can catch or lift.
6. Clamp when you are done
Once the map is on, press your natural lashes and the segments together. This helps the adhesive base make better contact and makes the whole set feel more connected.
Make sure your applicator is clean first. A sticky tweezer grabbing your fresh set is not the moment.
7. Try not to touch the sticky base
Pick up the segment a little above the adhesive. The less oil and residue you transfer onto the sticky part before it reaches your eye, the better.
8. If you use Bonded, keep it controlled
More is not better here.
Use a thin, even amount at the base. Too much can make everything extra sticky, clumpy, or slippery while you are trying to place the lash.
When the set is done, use the Sealer at the base to finish the application and get rid of any leftover tackiness.
9. Pick the wear method that matches your plans
If you only want a few days, the pre glued adhesive is perfect for that. If you want the lashes staying put for longer, use Double Bond.
Do not make your life harder trying to force one method to behave like the other.
10. Stop picking at them
Rubbing, pulling, sleeping on them, and playing with a lifting corner all add friction. You do not have to baby them every second, but a little less chaos around the eye definitely helps.
11. Clean around them gently
Keeping the eye area clean still matters. Just avoid scrubbing the bond or coating it in oily products.
12. Do not borrow another brand’s water rule
Some lash systems tell you to avoid water for a certain amount of time. Others do not. Different adhesives behave differently.
Follow the instructions for the lash system you are actually wearing instead of assuming every DIY lash glue follows the same rule.

Quick questions
Should you overlap lash clusters?
We recommend a small overlap. It helps the individual pieces look like one continuous lash line instead of little separate sections with gaps between them.
Do clean lashes really matter?
Yes. You want the adhesive touching your lashes, not a layer of makeup, skincare, oil, or leftover cleanser.
Does clamping actually help?
Yes. Clamping presses the segment and your natural lashes together so the adhesive base has better contact.
Does more glue mean longer wear?
No. Too much can get messy fast. Controlled coverage at the base is what you want.
