Why Do My Lash Clusters Keep Falling Off? 10 Reasons + Fixes

Short answer: if your lash clusters are falling off way earlier than expected, start with the basics: clean lashes, good placement, full contact at the base, and a proper clamp. Those four things fix a lot.

With Pink Rabbit, our pre glued segments are designed for about 2 to 5 days on their own. If you want longer wear, Bonded with the Double Bond Method is designed for 10+ days.

1. Your lashes were not actually clean

Not “I washed my face this morning” clean. We mean your lash line is free from mascara, skincare, cleanser residue, and obvious oil right before application.

Anything sitting between your natural lash and the adhesive can get in the way of a good hold.

2. You touched the sticky base

The adhesive is already there, so protect it. Grab the segment slightly above the base instead of pinching directly on the sticky part.

3. The base is only half attached

This one is sneaky because the lash can look fine from the front.

Look underneath. You want the base sitting against your natural lashes across as much of the segment as possible. If only one little corner is attached, that is usually the first place that lifts.

4. You forgot to clamp

Placement gets the lash where you want it. Clamping helps marry the segment and your natural lashes together.

Once your map is on, press everything together with a clean applicator. It is such a small step and it makes a real difference.

5. Your inner or outer corner piece does not fit

If the same corner always lifts, stop fighting it. That segment may simply be too long for that area.

Try a shorter piece or move it slightly inward so the full base actually has natural lashes underneath it. You do not want it hanging off the end of your lash line.

6. Your skincare is getting into the bond

Eye creams, oils, cleansing balms, and rich removers can migrate toward the lash base.

You do not have to become scared of skincare. Just keep the heavy stuff away from the adhesive area as much as you can.

7. You are rubbing or sleeping directly on them

Lashes can handle normal life, but constant rubbing, picking, and pillow friction can loosen them faster.

If a piece starts lifting, resist the urge to keep playing with it. That almost never ends well.

8. You are expecting pre glued wear to act like Double Bond

Pink Rabbit pre glued lashes are made for about 2 to 5 days on their own. That is already multi day wear.

If you want a 10+ day set, use Bonded. That is the whole point of having two ways to wear the same lash.

9. You used too much bond

More glue does not automatically mean more hold.

Too much can create extra tackiness, clumping, or make the segment slide around while you are trying to place it. Keep Bonded controlled and focused at the base.

10. Your set may simply be done

If your pre glued set lasted several days and then started lifting, nothing necessarily went wrong. It may just be reaching the end of its intended wear time.

If you consistently want longer than that, Double Bond is the better match.

What should you check first?

  1. Were your natural lashes clean and completely dry?
  2. Did you avoid touching the sticky base?
  3. Is the whole base actually touching natural lashes?
  4. Did you clamp after placement?
  5. Are your corner pieces the right size?
  6. Is oily skincare getting into the bond?
  7. Are you rubbing or pulling on them?
  8. Are you using the wear method that matches your goal?

Quick questions

Why do my lash clusters fall off after one day?

The first things we would check are prep, oil or residue, base contact, and whether you clamped everything together.

Why does my inner corner always come off?

Inner corners have shorter lashes and more curve. A shorter segment or slightly different placement usually works better than forcing a bigger piece into that area.

Can oily skin make clusters come off faster?

It can. Oil and product residue around the lash line can interfere with adhesive contact, so prep matters a lot.

Do Pink Rabbit lashes need Bonded?

No. They are designed for about 2 to 5 days on their own. Bonded is there for the girl who wants more commitment.
